The Leapfrog Group Hospital Quality & Safety Survey

VBCH s the Virginia Regional Roll-out Leader* (since 2003) for The Leapfrog Group. Our goals is 100% participation from our 89 invited hospitals, consisting of both 'urban' and 'rural' hospital.

The 2008 Survey begins in March with letters and Security Codes distributed by US Mail to the CEO/VP/Administrator. Get started early to ensure completion by the June 30, 2008 report launch date (updated every month-end going forward).

New developments: Summary Hospital Reports were mailed to every hospital participating in the 2008 Survey. Report shows score from LHRP methodology. Includes Quality, Resource Utilization, and Efficiency Score with a blinded scatter plot comparing these scores to other hospitals on a state and national performance using a national decile scores. Detailed report: Many hospitals have asked what they can do to get more information on scores and how to improve: We offer a detailed report for hospitals to purchase online at http://www.leapfroggroup.org/lhrpreports. This lets them drill down to individual category level, how they scored, and how it affects their relative performance and create a plan for quality improvement. E-mail address for hospital inquiries: lhrpreports@leapfroggroup.org Common questions submitted by hospitals are collected in a FAQ document to help hospital understanding of reports.
